Lizberries in Ireland: The Seventh Tour (Galway)
September 12, 2026
The Lizberries’ seventh tour of Ireland was a journey filled with music, special encounters, and emotions. Four days, four concerts, and a new adventure to experience once again in the land of the Cranberries.
Departure from Italy and the Trip to Galway
We set off from Milan Linate bound for Dublin. The excitement is the same as always, but this time there’s something even more special: we’re ready for Lizberries’ seventh tour of Ireland.
After our flight with Aer Lingus and picking up our rental cars, our journey officially begins. We have a long road ahead of us, because our first destination is Galway, where the tour’s first concert awaits us.
A Special Encounter at the Car Rental Office in Dublin
And it’s actually while picking up the cars in Dublin that we have one of the most wonderful encounters of this trip.
We meet Esther and Massimo, two Italians from Genoa who are part of the Tempo Sospeso project, and who’ve decided to join us on this new adventure. They tell us they’re already in line for an event and show us their place in line: 242.
A chance encounter—the kind that seems like a small detail but ends up becoming one of the fondest memories of a tour.
From Dublin to Galway: The Tour’s First Concert
Once preparations were complete, we set off for Galway.
Our destination is Monroe’s Live, one of the venues that has hosted Lizberries’ music during this new Irish experience. We arrive, set up our gear, and start the soundcheck with Jimmy.
Every time we return to Ireland, there’s a feeling that’s hard to explain: it’s like rediscovering a familiar place, but experiencing it differently each time.
The Music of The Cranberries and the Irish Audience
Then it’s time for the concert.
As the first notes of The Cranberries’ songs ring out, the distance between Italy and Ireland suddenly seems to vanish. The audience joins in, sings along, and supports the band throughout the show.
Making the evening even more special is Julianne, who opens the concert and helps create—right from the start—that special atmosphere that makes Irish nights unforgettable.
Among the song requests of the evening is “I Really Hope,” requested by Frank. It’s moments like these that remind us why we continue to bring the Cranberries’ music to Irish stages.
And of course, no evening is complete without a Guinness—the indispensable companion after a concert.
Hugs, compliments, and that special Irish hospitality
After the concert come the hugs, the compliments, and the chats with the audience.
It’s hard to put into words what it feels like when people you may have never met before come up to say hello, thank you for the music, and share a part of their evening with you.
It’s one of the things we love most about Ireland: that ability to turn a night of music into a human experience, made up of encounters and moments that stay with you.
When the Tour Takes Its Toll
A tour, however, isn’t just about concerts, applause, and happy moments.
During this first trip, a few unexpected events also cropped up. Stefano hurt his ankle, and we had to quickly find a solution to allow him to continue the tour.
Between a consultation and an osteopathic treatment, we also had to stop by the pharmacy.
These are the kinds of incidents that seem to complicate everything at the time, but which, looking back, become an integral part of the story of a tour.
Because traveling to play music also means this: facing the unexpected together, helping one another, and always finding a way to keep going.
And this is just the beginning…
The first concert of the Lizberries’ seventh tour in Ireland is now behind us, but the journey has only just begun.
More concerts, more stages, more encounters, and many new stories to tell await us.
Because every time we return to Ireland, we discover that behind every song, there’s always another story.
And this is another story we’ve decided to save for next Saturday…
